Roof Leak Detection with Infrared Thermal Imaging

Non-intrusive infrared roof surveys to detect moisture, wet insulation, and energy loss throughout the Southern United States.

We perform roof leak detection using infrared thermal imaging surveys and roof inspections throughout the Southern United States. Annually, Weller Infrared Services has successfully used infrared thermal imaging on millions of square feet of roofing surface and is your best choice for roof leak detection infrared thermal imaging surveys and roof inspections. Our expertise and knowledge in commercial, industrial and multifamily roofing systems can save you money. If you have Modified Bitumen Roofing, Thermoplastic Roofing (PVC, TPO, EPDM), Built up roof membranes (BUR) or Green Roofing Membranes, then we have used roof infrared thermal imaging surveys to help our clients.

Roof Infrared Thermal Imaging

The thermal imaging surveys that we perform are non-intrusive / non-destructive. If you have a roof leak or you have been told that you need a new roof, then you need to call us first for an infrared roof inspection. We may be able to save you a considerable amount of money and extend the life of your roof. Weller Infrared Services have experienced thermographers that know how to use thermal imaging on all types of roof systems. All of our surveys are performed in accordance with currently accepted industry practice and ASTM C1153 "Standard Practice for Location of Wet Insulation in Roofing Systems Using Infrared Imaging."

Our surveys include:

  • Verification of at least one thermal anomaly with a Tramex Moisture Meter
  • The perimeter of defect areas on flat roof surfaces are spray painted to show the section(s) to be repaired (unless the client requests otherwise)
  • We prepare a report that is accurate and clearly presented with digital and IR pictures that are easy to understand by the customer
  • For an additional charge, we can provide a CAD drawing showing the locations of the thermal anomalies

Roof Inspections

Roof leaks cause roofs to become thermally deficient, breaks down the buildings structural integrity, or reduce the operating life of the roof system. Weller Infrared Services roof inspections show clients the problems related to their roof system. Building owners may save many thousands of dollars over the life span of a building, often starting from year one. After we perform an infrared thermal imaging survey on your roof system, Weller Infrared Services can then provide a complete assessment of your roof.

We work closely with Building Envelope Consultants that specializes in roofing analysis and design. All types of low-slope and steep-slope roofing; condition assessments, leak investigations, thermal scans, life-cycle assessment, and identification of repair options.

Roofing Evaluation:

Document research, testing, identification of the causes of leaks or system failure, identification of repair options.

Investigation and Forensics:

Design and engineering of the roofing rehabilitation.

Design Services:

Review of construction and design from a position of due diligence, adherence to code requirements, and standard of care.

Litigation Consulting:

Expert consultation and support for roofing-related legal matters.

Drone Aerial Infrared Roof Thermal Imaging

As professional thermographers, we can provide high-quality Drone Aerial roof infrared thermal imaging inspections throughout the Southern United States. We take aerial visual photos of the roof surface during the day, and we perform an aerial roof infrared thermal imaging inspection at night. Then we provide a report with regular and infrared thermal images. Our reports have thermograms overlaid over the daylight photos indicating areas of suspect moisture infiltration. We also give approximate square footage of possible moisture intrusion in our reports. Weller Infrared Services drone aerial roof infrared inspection services provide high quality and resolution that sets us apart from our competition. Click here for more information…
